Adventure Kids in Egypt: Re-designed the children's exhibit/play area adjacent to the Egypt gallery. The exhibit is divided into three sections: Join the Expedition, Excavate, and Imagine It As It Once Was. It begins in an archeologist office where children learn about how archaeologists prepare for their trips and pack for the expedition. Then they go on a journey into an Egyptian tomb where they can sit in a king's throne or assemble a sarcophagus puzzle. It the next area, children learn the process of analyzing what they found in the tomb at the field office, including reading how different x-rays are used to see inside a mummy. The final room brings to life what life was like in Ancient Egypt and shows children that through the work of archeologists, we can get a good understanding of how the Ancient Egyptians used to live. This area includes a dress up area, pyramid puzzle, marketplace, and boat.
